You will receive the form “Details of the insured person” directly by post. You will need this form to claim your monthly allowance from the unemployment insurance fund. If exceptionally you do not receive the form, please contact your regional employment centre (RAV) directly, and they can provide you with a copy.
Insured persons must register in person with their municipality of residence or the competent office for job placement as early as possible, and at the latest on the first day for which they claim unemployment benefits. From then on, they are required to comply with the monitoring requirements (Art. 17 (2) of the Swiss Unemployment Insurance Act). The receipt of the forms by post does not release you from the obligation to register in person.
